5 Tiny Habits That Can Actually Improve Your English

When students ask me how to improve faster, I always say the same thing: small habits, every day.

    1. Read one short article

Pick something you actually care about - cooking, golf, MMA, K-pop - and read just one short article in English.

Recently, I found this site: Breaking News English, which has lots of interesting articles, plus it has some homework you can do after you read the article!

    2. Shadow a video

Play a 30-second clip and repeat after the speaker. Mimic the rhythm, not just the words.

    3. Use Anki to memorize new vocab

Add your new vocab to Anki (or an app like Quizlet), then practice at the same time every day, whether it's right before you sleep or when you're sitting on the toilet 💩

    4. Voice memo journal

Record yourself talking about your day for 60 seconds. Listen back. You'll notice things instantly!

    5. Be kind to past-you

Your English today is better than your English 1 year ago. Keep going 💛
